CROSSVISION
MISSIONS
Merry Christmas
Thank God for his Son--a
gift too wonderful for words! (2Corintians
9:15)
It’s
Christmas season, and our plans are always to give the
greatest gifts. But in this time of year when we are all
busy buying presents and battling roads that resemble a mix
between a NASCAR race and a demolition derby, we often
forget the most wonderful Christmas gift of all. We all
fall into the monopoly of commercialism and buy anything we
can imagine will light up our loved one’s faces. So, here
are a few encouraging words for this season:
2047
years ago God chose to give us the ultimate gift, His son.
The most wonderful part about His gift is how he gives it
though you and I. Through us it’s available to everyone, and
it’s never out of stock. It’s not a gift that needs pretty
wrapping paper or bows, for it changes lives straight off
the shelf. While it’s true the gift cost God His all, it
takes us only a few moments of time to share His gift with
someone else.
Now, if
you have received this gift then you know that there is no
equal, no next year’s topper, or even a chance to pay it
back. The only way to say, “Thank you!” for such a gift is
by sharing it, not just with the ones you love, but even a
stranger you meet in line at the mall. I encourage you with
this: Share the ultimate gift of God’s saving grace with
someone this holiday season. Take a moment and remember to
give thanks for the gift God gave all, and remember you can
give this gift as often, and to as many people as you wish.
In a
little less than a week the CrossVision Family Mission trip
will be heading to Piedras Negras,
Mexico to share the ultimate
Christmas gift once more. Over 120 people from all ages and
walks of life will come together for one common goal: to
share God’s gift. Please pray for the team as we venture
into the harvest fields and share the ultimate Christmas
gift. Merry Christmas and never forget God’s Christmas
present to all.
Together
“We will move forward on our knees” (Eph
6:18)
