 CROSSVISION MISSION
JULY / AUGUST 2010
TESTIMONY FROM HERMANO GLEN

“Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously.” (2 Cor 9:6)
“God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.” (2 Cor 9:8)
“Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness.” (2 Cor 9:10)

Sometimes ministries are called to step outside the lines and act in response to the immediate needs of hurting people. CrossVision has spent most of the last three weeks meeting the needs of flood victims on the Mexican side of the border. We prepared, cooked, and handed out between ten and eleven thousand meals so far. With an estimated 150,000 families having lost their home and all their possessions it will be many months before things are normal again. As always sowing the Gospel is the reason we are given every opportunity to minister to others. So, I want to share a divine encounter that I am sure will bless your heart.

Claudia is a city elder in Sabinas, Mexico in charge of human resources. As she drives down the street she notices a stranger (short term missionary Del). Busy distributing necessities to flood victims she pays little attention to Del. But as she passes him by, a special voice speaks to her heart and says, “he has something you want.” She hears this not once but three time, forcing her to turn around and go back. Talking with Del she learned of our feeding effort and returns with him to the cook site where she became our guide to distribute food to those in greatest need. Claudia shared her divine appointment with me through tear filled eyes just after she prayed and made Jesus her Lord. Together she and I then commenced to share the Gospel with her whole team of volunteers. 29 of them said “yes” to Jesus and the ripe harvest field was evident.

It’s when the world’s economical situation struggles that it’s easy to find an excuse to over look the truths of Scripture. Then in the middle of our self centeredness a tragedy takes place and God test our faith in Him over our pocket books. We then face making a choice whether to trust God and meet the visible needs of others or hide our eyes and ears from the desperate cries of those unable to help them selves. There has never been a more exciting time to be a Christian and demonstrate visible faith in our Lord. Please join CrossVision in praying verse 10 above asking God to supply our needs, increase our seeds, and enlarge our harvest.

Together “We will move forward on our knees” (Eph 6:18)
